Meet Team Teddy! Team Teddy is Elisabeth Haase, Tad Gallistel, and Erika Lawson.  And of course Teddy!  Erika (Ted’s daughter), Elisabeth (Ted’s sister-in-law), and Tad (Ted’s son-in-law) have teamed up with Team In Training (TNT) to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in honor of Ted Lawson. This season Team Teddy will be participating in the Mayor's Midnight Sun Half Marathon in Anchorage. Here is a look at our past events: October 2005: Maine Marathon September 2005: Pacific Grove Triathlon June 2004: America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe June 2003: Hyannis Triathlon in Cape Cod May 2003: Vancouver Marathon Teddy is Ted Lawson, our father and brother-in-law.  We are doing these events in honor of him.  Teddy was diagnosed in April 2002, right after Tad and Erika's wedding, with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).  In January of 2003, after a hard battle, he officially entered remission, and has been doing great. These endurance events can be challenging, and finding motivation can be difficult. Whenver we need inspiration, we think of the challenge Teddy endured as he battled ALL, until he reached his goal of being in remission.
